Audience: Mrs Ellmore and HNI students

Use your creativity to come up with 3 alternative names for this very exciting game!
Heads Up
Ball Throw
Move Fast

Imagine another class here at HNI has not played this game before. Complete the rules below to clearly describe the aim of the game and exactly what the rules are.
Aim of the game:
Rules:
1.Stay on your bums the entire game because if you don't you will get DISQUALIFIED
2. The aim of the game is to throw all the balls into each other's team as fast as you can until eventually one team gets all four balls on their side and they lose.
3. The team with the most points lose
4. Each team has 1 ball on their side and they aren't aloud to throw them until the whistle blows
5.

Game Adaptations
Use your creative thinking to explore possible adaptations to this game to enhance both the fun factor and the ability to win the game. I have given you one example for each category but challenge yourself with other ideas and thinking.

Attack
Defence
Game Plan/Strategy
  • Use balls other than netballs that aren’t as heavy so the speed of the travelling ball also speeds up the game.
  • 4 players from each quad are allowed to sit on the bleaches to stretch with their arms and intercept flying balls.
  • People on the perimeter of the quad pass the ball to someone closer to the bleaches to allow them to throw it further into the opponent's area.

Inferring

In room 12 we have been doing tasks about inferring, one of them was a poem tasks. It is a what/who am I poem. Here is my one...

I can be cold and unpredictable I can be nice and inviting

I can growl with rageI can whistle and sigh

You might live close to meYou may have visited meMaybe you still have to meet me

Lots of people love meSome people are scared of meMost people learn to keep me clean

I am a home to lots of creatures, but you can't live in meThere are many songs about me and poems about me

You may have seen me on the T.VYou can see me on lots of paintings and cardsThere are many myths about me

What am I?

Innovation

In room 12 for Inquiry we have been learning about what innovation, we had to watch a video clip of some inventors and choose our top four, we had to explain what their quotes were about an Innovator. Here is my work...

WHAT IS INNOVATION?
To help us define what innovation is, watch the video innovators and select your top four to include in the following table

INNOVATOR
What are they known for?
What did they say? A phrase that defines innovation to them.

Household Emergency

The GET READY GET THRU Website says that in our Emergency Kit we need a TORCH and spare batteries. At Electronics I am going to design and Make an Emergency Light for myself.
